Easy Bistro & Bar is one of the most well-regarded restaurants in Chattanooga, TN. Since opening in 2005 by husband-and-wife team Erik and Amanda Niel, Easy has evolved continually, and in May 2020, the restaurant reopened in a brand new space (with a reimagined menu!) in Chattanooga’s West Village neighborhood. Chef Erik Niel (a two-time James Beard Award nominee for Best Chef: Southeast) created a menu inspired by his childhood in Louisiana and his training in classic French fare while celebrating local flavor and ingredients from the Tennessee River Valley. At Easy, we’re constantly pushing ourselves to find new ways to redefine the dining experience, and we’ve embraced a curated selection of small and large plates meant to be shared – highlighting classic bistro dishes, fresh seafood, wood-burning oven dishes, house-made pasta, and a full raw bar (featuring oysters from the nearby Gulf coast as well as East and West coast varieties). Easy Bistro’s raw bar has always been central to the menu and greets guests as soon as they walk in the door. With a focus on the freshest and highest-quality oysters, Easy features oysters from the nearby Gulf coast, as well as some of the best East and West coast varieties. Guests are often amazed at the difference and uniqueness of flavor accounted for by region. Also in the raw bar is a wood-fired hearth used to prepare dishes such as hearth-roasted oysters, whole fish, and octopus.
